Shelly O Halloran - Spinning Instructor

Not too long ago; I was the girl in the back of the group fitness class intimidated, shy and a mind full of self doubt. Can I really take this class? It's been years and a couple babies ago since I was able to push myself physically. What if I stop breathing? What if I pass out? I was inspired by my instructor to come back, I was inspired by my friends and family to keep going. Reluctantly; I did the hardest part of staying active. I just kept showing up. Relentless consistency. Every workout, every pound lost was not only changing my body. It was changing my mind. Giving me confidence. Strengthening me from the inside out. I knew I had to pay it forward. I had to share my secret and show others how they can achieve their fitness goals through just "showing up". I'm a happily married working mother of two small children. I know how it feels to be exhausted, tired, the long days that turn into short years. I chose to teach spinning so that I can motivate others through those days (good and bad), but also be motivated by my members who inspire me, every time they show up to my class: I know they want to work hard. That's what we do together. We get stronger together. My name is Shelly and I look forward to seeing you in my spin class on Thursdays and Saturdays. Just show up and follow my map (it's in the music).

Hi, my name is Michelle Riley. Five years ago after having my first daughter, I was having a hard time motivating myself to hit the gym. Then I discovered dance fitness. I have done every group fitness class under the sun but dance fitness always kept me wanting more. I am certified in Zumba but love the edginess of Hip-Hop. After dealing with the stresses of the day to day, there’s nothing better than to feel great mentally and physically. As your instructor I promise to give you just that. The Hip-Hop class is designed for all fitness levels whether you’re physically fit or just starting out. The moves are very repetitive and there is no right or wrong. It’s just a group of people having a great time supporting one another to make a change. Come check it out!

Lisel Dorsette-Hamilton - Senior Fit and Zumba Instructor

I believe fitness should be fun. That's why I love what I do.  Sharing personal journeys and guiding people towards being healthy is my favorite thing about the fitness industry. I believe motivation comes from within. Once somebody gets rid of all the excuses, I am ready for them!

I am a certified and insured personal trainer with eight years experience through National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a certified Pilates, Tai Chi, and licensed Zumba® instructor, also current in First Aid and CPR.
Zumba is a Latin based cardio dance class that burns 400-700 calories in an hour! Easy to learn, non-competitive, and a BLAST!
No matter what stage of fitness you are in, come and see me so we can get to work AND have some fun!

Lauren Montagnese - Zumba and Zumbtomics Instructor

When I took my first Zumba® class a few years ago, I was hooked.  I loved the music and choreography and I couldn't get enough.  I completed Zumba® Basic Certification in June, 2011 and began teaching adult classes.  Over the last couple of years, I have embraced the opportunity to offer my time to the community as I took Zumba® to the schools.  I have taught several classes for girls' basketball and softball teams to serve as conditioning.  I really enjoy teaching to children at the elementary schools as well.  That is why I decided to complete my Zumbatomic® certification in December, 2012.  The Zumbatomic® program offers Latin based music & dance adapted for children.  The dances are broken down in a way that allows young kids to follow along, feel successful, and most importantly, let loose and have fun.  The music and choreography are typically separated for different age groups:  "Lil Starz" includes ages 4-7, and "Big Starz" would include ages 7-12.  I am excited for the opportunity to teach Zumbatomic® classes here at Spike Fitness, and I hope to see many kids come out and give it a try!
